Obituary
BROOKLYN - Bonnie Mae Farrell, age 75, of Brooklyn, passed away on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, at UW Hospital and Clinics. She was born on Aug. 10, 1948, in Madison, the daughter of Erwin and Rosemarie (Kopp) Lawry.
Bonnie graduated from Oregon High School in 1966. She worked as a clerk for the State of Wisconsin Agricultural Department. After retiring in 1992, she moved to Cheyenne, Wy., for approximately 20 years, and in 2010 returned to Wisconsin to be closer to her family.
Bonnie loved Kenny Rogers and Elvis. One of her fondest memories was waiting in line with her good friend Deb for 66 hours to purchase Kenny Rogers tickets for his show at the coliseum in Madison.
Bonnie is survived by her daughter, Tara Farrell; and granddaughter, Abby Meyer. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Danny Farrell; parents, Rosemarie and Erwin; and brother, Randy Lawry.
A funeral service will be held at GUNDERSON OREGON FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 1150 Park St., Oregon, at 12 noon on Tuesday, July 9, 2024. Burial will take place at Prairie Mound Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Tuesday.
