Obituary
LODI - Barbara Vivian Youngs, age 74, of Lodi, passed away on Monday, July 8, 2024, in Madison. She was born on Aug. 9, 1949, in Columbia County, the daughter of Glenn and Breta Lee.
Barbara graduated from Columbus High School. She worked as an administrative assistant for the Federal USDA Forest Service and Forest Products Laboratory for almost 25 years, retiring in 2016.
Barbara was an avid gardener and spent countless hours perfecting her tranquil gardens. She also loved to cook and one could taste the love that flowed into the meals she made.
Barbara is survived by her sisters, Betty (Vince) Maly and Lana (Bob) Nell; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Brad Krause; parents, Glenn and Breta Lee; siblings, Gloria Hauge, John Bell, Sharon Lingard, Dennis Lee, Glenda Anderson and infant sister, Georgia Lee.
Family meant everything to Barb. From the love of her life, her beloved son, Brad, to her parents, all of her sisters, two brothers and her extended family, Teresa, Miranda and her children. Barb especially enjoyed Sunday family gatherings at the Lee family farm.
A celebration of life will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, July 17, 2024. Burial will take place at Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 12:30 p.m. until the time of the service on Wednesday.
