To Kari, Amie, Mark, Kevin, and Mike: What a beautiful picture and tribute to your mom. I know all too well about the grief you must be feeling at this time and I want you to know that happy memories work well to replace those tears with smiles. My stories of being with your mom are few, but very happy, memorable times that will live in my heart forever. She was so dear to all of us and my mother loved her like a sister. It is poetic that they now share embraces and closeness that they so enjoyed every time they were together and when they talked on the phone. What a hoot it was to hear them exchange conversations about their lives in the assisted living facilities!!!! Cards will follow, but please know I am thinking of you and praying for your peace and happiness as we carry on our family traditions. Love, your California cousin--Bonnie

To my Wisconsin Family: It has been almost a year and this holiday will be especially poignant as we watch our new little ones enjoy the lights, gifts, Santa, and songs! Then on the other hand, we grieve deeply because someone is missing. But, on Christmas morning, I light a "real" candle in memory of my family, place a picture of my mom on my tree, and contemplate the wonderful memories with her/them. I will be thinking of all of you this holiday and especially my dear Aunt, whose light will be shining on all of you!!! She is deeply missed! Love and prayers, Bonnie
