Of those in the family who tried, few have honed the skill of sarcasm to such a fine art form. Aunt Betty played it like a musical instrument. She especially enjoyed it if you could get into the spirit of her humor and harmonize with her. In this manner she hoped to make you laugh and hoped you could return the favor. Interchanges with Betty were always lively, and she often hinted that she was winking at you, just to keep you guessing. Betty taught me that life could be subtle, a bit perplexing, but definitely cheerful.

I was in the Saturday choir with Mr. and Mrs. Wright. She was such a wonderful, loving, caring, person. She couldn't wait for my hug when I would see her. I will miss her dearly just like Mr. Wright. Rest in peace my friend, rest in peace.

My thoughts and prayers are with you at this very sensitive and difficult time. She lead a very rich and productive life. We first met in 1946. Banner Bill Morgan was my adviser. In 1950, she typed my thesis. She was always precise in her work. Now, I must reluctantly take her off my E-mail list. Over 70 years of friendship.

Mom had lived with us for 4.5 years and over 1.5 at Heritage. During this time through Fr Bart (one of her favorites and ours) she met Andrew who was becoming a Priest. Over the years she would say I hope I live long enough to see Andrew say his first Mass. Her competitive side she had to make into her 90's as all of her sisters had. Cecilia her FAVORITE SISTER (there's your big print my favorite aunt) will be 96 this year. When I arrived at the hospital in a voice not ever heard from her. She looked at me and said Carl I'm dying... I said Mom it's ok you wanted to see Andrew, wait Fr Andrew say his first Mass. Just over a week prior she was present at his first Mass. You will be missed Elizabeth, Betty, Mom, Mommy, Ma, Grandma, Aunt, Sister, Friend. You know I could type for days but possibly for the last time I'll say with love, your favorite son.
