Ronald Allen Walder

Stoughton - Ronald A. Walder, age 57, of Stoughton, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 7, 2021, at home. He was born on April 18, 1964. Ronald became a part of the Elsner family in 1973, and despite moving out after his 18th birthday, he continued to be a cherished family member. Ronald graduated from Stoughton High School in 1985. He participated in the Special Olympics while growing up in Stoughton. He enjoyed playing basketball the most. Ronald worked as a stocker for many years. Community Living Connections provided Ron with housing, and opportunities to participate in agency activities such as dances and bowling events. Ronald loved bowling and was part of a bowling league when he lived in Madison. His recent interests included completing word searches, adult coloring books and learning about other countries. His favorite musician was Johnny Cash. Ronald is survived by his foster mother, Betty Elsner; foster sister/guardian, Tracy (Richard) Warner; foster sister, Tammy (Doug) Van Fossen; and foster brother, Randy Elsner. He was preceded in death by his foster father, Robert Elsner; foster sister, Kari Elsner; and foster sister-in-law, Mary Elsner.
