The volunteers, flight team and board of Badger Honor Flight mourn the loss of their hero, Charles Waity. We are thankful for his military service and proud to have served him on his trip to Washington, D.C. on May 16, 2015.

I had Mr. Waity for US History in 1968. He was awesome. His whole demeanor was positive, engaging, and spiked with humor. After I retired in 2013, I volunteered to work with Victoria Straughn, Gloria and Chuck. Sadly, they are all gone now. I really enjoyed all our times together. Gloria was always lovingly guiding and helping Chuck. Im glad they are together again. My sympathies to the family. Mary Korn Erickson

Dear Waity family I had know. Chuck and Gloria fot many years at Firdt Church and also met up with Chuck when my husband Terry was akso a resident at Oakwood Mrmoty Care. What a delightful man even as he struggled with dementia. My deepest sympathies as you move forward in your grieving your loss Jan Von Haden

He was my highschool history teacher at LaFollette highschool. He was a wonderful teacher.
