Obituary
MADISON-Milo J. Swenson, age 95, of Madison, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2016, at his home. He was born on Sept. 16, 1921, the son of Frank and Clara (Thorson) Swenson in Madison. Milo graduated from Madison East High School with the class of 1940. He was united in marriage to Wilma Martin on June 9, 1951, they were blessed with a son, Craig. Wilma passed away in 1975. Milo was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, he worked for the State of Wisconsin Historical Society for over 20 years before retiring. Milo married Yolanda Baumgartner and enjoyed many years together. He learned to carve wood from classes he took at the Monona Senior Center. A skill he truly loved and was quite talented in. Milo is survived by son, Craig (Marie) Swenson; two step-sons, Larry Baumgartner and Gene (Sharon) Baumgartner; two step-daughters, Gail (Douglas) Dahlk and Beth (David) Ammerman; many step-grandchildren; and step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wives; step-grandson, Rodney Michaelis; four brothers, Leonard, Edwin, Fritjof and Rainard Swenson; and sister, Ella Pederson. In keeping with Milo's request, no services will be held. Burial will be held at Roselawn Memorial Park. Memorials may be made in Milo's memory to the Dane County Humane Society.
