I will miss you, dear friend and gentle soul. Our time together has filled me with wonderful memories.

Anne! What will we do without you?

Anne, you will be greatly missed at our get togethers. You brought the best on us. And you were such a great example of citizenship, commitment, friendship! Sad day today, but glad to see thst you lived life to the fullest enjoying all your wonderful endeavors.

We had the privilege of knowing Anne for many years, dating back to Civic Center days. While we didn't see each other often in recent years, every meeting was special and Anne always shared warmth, humor and gentle intelligence when we did have the opportunity to get together. We will miss her. A very special person.

I will so miss my dear friend, Anne. We met in 1970 when I was a UW student who participated in the North-South Student Exchange Program she oversaw, and have been friends ever since. The past few years we saw each other more for lunch, concerts, walks and lengthly conversations about issues of the day. I greatly admired her dedication and passion, her curiosity and intellect, and her humility and graciousness. Anne's memory will remain with me the rest of my life.
