James Schnering

MADISON-James F. “Jim” Schnering, age 86 passed away on Saturday, Feb. 10, 2018. Jim served in the U.S. Army in the Korean War. He volunteered at the William S. Middleton Memorial Veterans Hospital for 25 years. Jim is survived by his three children, Charles Schnering, Estrella Schnering (Terri Moen), and Charlotte (Dale) Bavery, and three grandchildren, DeeDee Bavery, Jeffery Bavery and Michael Schnering. Jim was preceded in death by his wife Regina T. (Crossen) Schnering. Funeral Services will be held at the GUNDERSON FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2018, with military honors to follow. Private Burial will be at Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until the time of the service on Wednesday. The family wishes to thank the staff at the Wisconsin Veterans Home at King, Stordock Hall Floor 2 and Heartland Hospice Center.
