I was childhood friends with Shelly. The Scott house was a welcome place for weekend sleepovers where we would watch 80’s movies and play Carmen San Diego. They were and are such a caring family that always provided a safe haven. Larry was always so kind. I am sorry for your loss. My heart and prayers are with your family.

Bob and Larry met in 1967 while both were working at the Kroger store in the Lake Edge Shopping Center on Monona Drive. Bob was honored to be in Larry and Kathy’s wedding; however, when it was our turn, the military called and Larry had to answer. We always kidded each other because we had boys and they had girls. Larry wouldn’t have given up his girls for anything; and it didn’t deter us from enjoying many adventures together as one big happy family. Larry loved to drive, having everything mapped out and planned well before any trip began. We called him our chauffeur and travel guide, and we gladly traveled to the east and west coasts, Florida, Hawaii and the Bahamas with Larry and Kathy. And, you could always count on Kathy having a coupon or two! These past few years have been rough for Larry; however, he always found the positive in every situation he found himself, and taking his health very seriously. We think, though, that Kathy said enough is enough and it was time to come home to her.
Rest in peace, dear friend. We will miss our visits, the great music playing from your vast collection on every visit, our conversations about the ‘good ole days’, and your always thoughtful and heartfelt advice. Our thoughts and prayers are with you, Kathy, and your beautiful family.
