Obituary

MADISON - Janice M. Schnabel, age 81, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2023, with her family by her side. She was born on Nov. 16, 1941, in Madison, Wis., the daughter of Walter and Dolores (Huset) Baumgartner. Janice graduated from Bellville High School in 1959.


Jan worked for over 32 years at Datex-Ohmeda before her retirement. She was a member of the Waunakee Snowmobile Club and enjoyed spending time outdoors, fishing and time with her long-time companion, John Cupp and her family. Jan was an avid Badgers and Packers Fan, she cherished Christmas with her family and looked forward to the tradition of playing BINGO each year


Jan is survived her two daughters, Karen Marchillo and Carol (Randy) Zee; her son, Thomas Schnabel; five grandchildren, Tina Schnabel, Eric Zee, Ashlee Stampfli, Travis (Emily) Schnabel and Nico Marchillo; sister, Mary (Wally) Boley; John Cupp's children, Michael (Leeza Handrich ) Cupp and Rodney (Wendy) Cupp; and granddaughters, Marina and Presley. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Carol Ann Baumgartner; and long-time companion, John Cupp.


A celebration of life will be held at MONTROSE TOWN HALL, 1341 Diane St., Paoli, from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. on Saturday, July 27, 2024.
