Lois Robinson

Robinson, Lois Marie Madison-Lois Marie Robinson, age 87, of Madison, passed away on Monday, February 4, 2019 at Oakwood Village Prairie Ridge Assisted Living. Lois was born on April 29, 1931, in Waukesha, WI, the daughter of George and Ina (Brock) Webber. Lois graduated from Middleton High School. Lois married Thomas Robinson on January 29, 1966. Lois worked as a school bus driver for the Madison school district for over 50 years. She loved to drive and took her responsibilities very seriously. In her earlier years, Lois enjoyed the companionship of her feline friends, camping and dabbling in Chinese cuisine, much to the benefit of her family and friends. She continued to love reading novels, watching television especially shows on PBS and listening to a wide variety of “old time” country music. Lois was a member of the VFW Auxillary post #8483 and contributed to various veteran related charities. Lois is survived by her sisters; Marcia Ann (Duane) Anderson, Karen A Maurer; her brother; Dennis (Marcia Lynn) Elliott; her nieces; Vicki (Mike Sproul) Anderson, Michele (Eric) Hurtley, Valerie (Jeff) Woodworth, Emilie (Jon) Harrer and Elizabeth (Luke) Anderson; her nephews; Taylor (Lisa) Maurer, Daniel (Laura) Anderson; and special high school friend, Lois Pierstorff. Lois was preceded in death by her husband and parents. We would like to thank Northeast Family Practice clinic for their years of medical attention and dedication to Lois’ comfort. We would like to extend a special appreciation to Siobvan, who was a great advocate for Lois’ health care needs and well being. The family would also like to thank everyone at Oakwood Village Prairie Ridge for making Lois’ last few years more comfortable and safe. She enjoyed making new friends with residents and staff. We, as her family, could not be more grateful for all the time and energy that was spent to help Lois enjoy her time at Oakwood. Special thank you to Anne, David, Hannah, Deb, Salina, Christa and all the CNAs involved in Lois’ daily needs and care. If you feel inclined, memorials may be made in Lois’ memory to your charity of choice. Memorial Service will be held at Oakwood Village East Tree of Life Chapel, 5883 American Parkway, Madison, at 2:00 pm on Sunday February 17, 2019, with fellowship to follow.
