INVER GROVE HEIGHTS, Minn. / MONONA - Ruby E. Petersen, age 101, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 23, 2022, in Inver Grove Heights, Minn. Ruby was born on the family farm in Caledonia, Minn., and lived most of her adult life in Monona, Wis. She married Leonard “Pete” Petersen on Nov. 21, 1947, and they had two sons, Gary (Kathy) and Jeff (Mary).
Ruby was an administrative assistant to two Wisconsin State Legislators. She was a kind, funny character who loved to laugh and made many friends playing bridge over the years. She was deeply loved and will be sorely missed by her children; her grandchildren, Casey, Matthew, Shane, Carly and Kristen; her six great-grandchildren; and her extended family and friends.
