I have such fond memories of our family visiting Paul & Bonnie's house when I was younger and seeing Paul & Marge at their house in Florida when I visited my parents there. Paul was just an all-around good guy with the best smile - I hope he and Joe are having a cold one together today! Wanda (Schmitz) Behling

Uncle Paul was an amazing man. The ONLY person in the world that I would let call me “Mandy” because I hated that name so much. But for some reason, it didn’t bother me when he said it. I had great respect for him and my Aunt Bonnie and Aunt Marge. I love you, Uncle Paul. You will be missed.

My condolences to the family.
Shagnasty’s was my, “go-to” liquor store from 1977 until I moved to Appleton in 1981. Paul was just a super friendly guy. Then one day, we realized we were related. He is my mom’s first cousin, I believe. My mother was Betty Pittz. Her mother was Catherine Palzkill. My mother married Bill Radtke from MP and raised me and my six siblings in Madison before moving to Oregon. We all graduated from Oregon.
Paul threw good summer parties on Hwy. PD for his customers, in what used to be an old school house. Ironically today it is home to the Serenity House where people addicted to alcohol or other drugs gather for support groups.
Anyway, that’s how I know Paul. Just a fun-loving, friendly guy who always had a smile on his face.
May he rest in peace.

Many years ago I enjoyed playing softball with Paul on the Shagnasty's team. Always enjoyed Paul's sense of humor. RIP Paul.
