Pam M. Mundt

MCFARLAND-My journey on earth has ended on Saturday, Nov. 11, 2017.  I was born on June 17, 1932, in Wichita, Kan., the daughter of Franklin and Alma Blase.  My father worked as a shoe maker, and my mother worked as a homemaker.  We moved to Wisconsin to be closer to my mother’s family, initially in De Pere, and then soon to Madison.  I was the youngest of six children, (Karina, Helmer, Kriss, Franklin and Lenora).  I attended Nichols School in Monona and Central High School in Madison. I was united in marriage to Eugene Mundt in 1969, and resided in McFarland for over 50 years. The three things I loved the most were: my home on Badger Street, which I built, my second husband, Eugene Mundt, and my family (five children, nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren).  I am survived by my four children, Deb (Kent) Nesseth, Judy Notstad, Kriss (Jeff) Besch and Dennis (Kay) Notstad; nine grandchildren, Jason Umhoefer, Jeffrey (Katie) Umhoefer, Jennie Masten, Dan (Kathy Bradenburg) and Adam Notstad, Kristopher (Gina Lueck) Notstad, Eugene (Kelsey) Notstad, Sam (Kirsty) Notstad and Matthew Besch; great-grandchildren, Gabby and Morgan Masten, Madison Notstad, and Devin, Brielle and Emmett Notstad; sister-in-law, Gladys Blase; many nieces, nephews and other family members; and my dear friend, Sandi Brown.  I was preceded in death by my husband, Eugene Mundt; son, Mark Notstad; granddaughter, Julie Umhoefer; and my siblings, Karina, Helmer, Kriss, Franklin and Lenora.  To my family and friends, I will miss you dearly, but remember I will be in your heart for all of your days.  I love you all.  Pam’s family wishes to add a special thank you to the following individuals that helped Pam through the last six years of her journey with love, compassion, and gave her the dignity she deserved through the good and bad times. Thank you Fran Groves, Jeff Shields, Jill Andruss, and Stephanie Lazenby. A funeral service will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 11 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 17, 2017. Burial will be at Blooming Grove Cemetery. A visitation will be held at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday.
