Mr Mellum was a humble, faithful servant of God. He was devoted to his wife Betty, especially in her final years, supporting her throughout her day without complaint. One of the good ones. I have had the good fortune of seeing love like this that I only believed was possible is indeed possible. Thank you for walking your faith where I could see it. Rest well Mr. Mellum Posted by D'neece Hettrick ( LaJeane's daughter)

Rob Oehlkers I was an usher with Virgil for many years at Lake Edge Lutheran Church on Ralph Sherman's A1 team I enjoyed talking to Virgil. He really was a delight to know, His wife Betty was such a kind soul, Virgil was devoted to Betty it was an inspiration to witness both of their faith in action. Rest in peace my friend Rob Oehlkers

I knew Mr. Mellum through my mom and dad, Bill and Grace Edmunds. He always had a smile on his face, a story to tell and left you with a smile on your face or shaking your head. He always said his name was Virgil Gordon Irving Moon Mellum. I'm not sure where that came from. We would get together with his brother, LaVern, and families. Many happy memories. He will be missed!
