I have such fun memories of Aunt Grace visiting overnight at our home in Stanley when we were children. She would come upstairs to our rooms early in the morning in her pajamas to visit with us. She was so young at heart and shared funny stories of attending college with people younger than herself. She always showed great interest in what we wanted to be when we grew up and encouraged us in our artistic endeavors as well. She will be missed.
May God rest your soul and perpetual light shine upon you Aunt Grace.
Your niece,

I will never forget going to an exhibit of hers when I was in the Twin Cities, same time as her. She stopped painting and gave me a hug and we talked while she did some more painting. A very talented and beautiful person who fit her name. She will be missed but never forgotten.

Aunt Grace remains one of the most influential women in my life, always encouraging me in my artistic endeavors. She was an educational pioneer in our family, going on to and then in to higher education at a time when others might have given up. As an art teacher, I enjoyed looking at and talking about Grace's art with her. May God bless you and keep you Aunt Grace. Niece Julie Pomietlo Chippewa Falls

My earliest memory of Aunt Grace is her watching over me at my Uncle David and Aunt Welma’s wedding when I was their 4 year-old flower girl. She was a bridesmaid and had to coax a very stubborn me into cooperating with the photographer! I remember how pretty she was in the red satin dress just like mine! We Pomietlo kids always looked forward to her coming to Stanley. On her visits she would often bring a big box of used paper from her school to write and draw on! It was a treasure to us even if one side was used! In later years she moved to Minnesota and we were able to see her more often. She would drive over to Chippewa Falls for “hair day” at Deb’s every couple of months and what fun we had! Seems like just yesterday we celebrated her 75th birthday there! She was a wonderful aunt and always showed such interest in our lives and talents. We will miss her, but have been so blessed to have her in our lives. Rest with the Angels, Aunt Grace. Love your niece, Beth Ann
