Jill Kerwin

Monona - Jill J. Kerwin, age 86, of Monona, passed away on Friday, March 27, 2026, at Oak Park Place Madison East. She and her twin brother, Jack, were born on March 10, 1940, in Chicago, Ill., the daughter and son of Neyman and Inez (Hansen) Fadness. She grew up in Monona and graduated from Monona Grove High School in 1959.

Jill married Wayne on Aug. 26, 1967, at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, and they spent 40 wonderful years together. Over the years, she was employed as a housekeeper at several Madison-area hotels. In her free time, she enjoyed bowling and was pretty good at it!  She also enjoyed word search books, knitting on her special board (there were so many scarves and blankets!), and watching the birds outside the window.

Jill is survived by her daughter, Cindi (Shandon) Meden; son, Michael (Amy) Kerwin; two grandchildren, Meghan (Chase) Meden and Katie Meden; great-grandson, Colton; sisters, Virginia Norgord and Patricia Fadness; and several cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Wayne, and brothers, James, Donald, and Jack.  

A visitation will be held at Gunderson East Funeral and Cremation Care, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, from 10 a.m. until 12 noon on Monday, April 6, 2026. A graveside service will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park.
