Robert Henry Lauck

MADISON - Robert Henry Lauck, age 100, of Madison, passed away on Tuesday, July 20, 2021, at St. Mary's Hospital. He was born on Aug. 24, 1920, in Madison, the son of Charles and Mabel (Hein) Lauck. Robert attended Draper Grade School and Central Junior and Central Senior High School, graduating in 1938. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in education from UW-Madison in 1947, where he was a member of the National Society of Scabbard and Blade. Robert served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II. He was united in marriage to June Sorenson on Aug. 30, 1947, at Trinity Lutheran Church. He was a production manager for Gas Magazine for 12 years. He also worked as a production manager, art director and the staff artist for Mayland Printing Company for 19 years. Robert was a member of the Masonic Lodge No. 5 (F and AM) since 1943 and Madison Scottish Rite Bodies since 1943. He served at the Zor Temple A.A.O.N.M.S. since 1943 and was a life member of both Arab Patrol and Veteran Patrol. He was also a member of the American Association of Retired Persons and a life member of The Wisconsin Union since 1943. Robert loved his family and spending time with them. He was a wonderful artist and baker. Robert loved cheering for the Badgers and Packers. He enjoyed camping, fishing and playing cards. Robert is survived by his daughter Barbara (Robert) Foulk; grandchildren, Nick (Brandee) Foulk, Brandon Foulk, Ashlee Foulk ,Amanda Lauck and Jessica Lauck; and great-grandchild, Kolten Foulk. He was preceded in his parents; wife, June; son, Gregory Lauck; and brothers, Frances (Laura) Lauck and George (Ruth) Lauck. A funeral service will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, July 28, 2021. A graveside service with military honors will follow at ROSELAWN MEMORIAL PARK, 401 Femrite Drive, Monona. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 12 noon until the time of the service on Wednesday. A luncheon will follow the burial at TRINITY LUTHERAN CHURCH, 1904 Winnebago St, Madison, WI 53704. We little knew that day, God was going to call your name. In life we loved you dearly, In death, we do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you. You did not go alone. For part of us went with you, The day God called you home. You left us beautiful memories, Your love is still our guide. And although we cannot see you, You are always at our side.
