Obituary

MADISON - Angels took Eileen Elizabeth Lang, age 97, of Madison, home on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, from Bay Harbor of Madison. She was born on October 12, 1927, in Cassel, Wis., the daughter of Henry and Anna (Huber) Hannemann.


Eileen was united in marriage to Philip Lang on October 16, 1946, in Edgar, Wis. They were blessed with two daughters. Eileen loved spending time with her family and playing the guitar.


Eileen is survived by her daughters, Marilyn (John) Reque and Barbara Brzezinski; grandson, John Philip (Sara) Reque Jr.; and great-grandchildren, Joseph, Jakob and Molly. She was preceded in death by her husband, Philip; parents, Henry and Anna; sisters, Irene (Harold) Zautcke, Arlene (Al) Sutter, Bernice (Louie) Imhoff and Marie (Fred) Kucera; infant sister, Lucille; son-in-law, Ralph Brzezinski; and grandson, Stephen Reque.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. DENNIS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 505 Dempsey Road, Madison, at noon on Saturday, November 23, 2024, with the Rev. Gary Krahenbuhl presiding. Burial will take place at Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church from 11 a.m. until the time of the Mass on Saturday.


She was always there for us and had words of wisdom and strength in troubled times.
