MADISON - Barbara Ruth Lammers, age 76, of Madison, passed away on Friday, Dec. 4, 2020, at Belmont Nursing Home, from a ruptured gall bladder. She was born on Jan. 20, 1944, in Milwaukee, the daughter of Lloyd and Nelvia (Kamerling) Lammers.
Barbara graduated from Custer High School in Milwaukee and UW-Madison. She worked as a Secretary for the University of Wisconsin, retiring in 2002.
Barbara loved and was loved by her friends, Toni, Barb, Cynthia, Kendra, Moosa, Kaitlin, Fran, Amy, Pat, and many others at Belmont Nursing Home. Barbara is survived by her brother, Ross (Paula); and sister, Janet. She was preceded in death by her parents. Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com.

Dear Ross and Janet, We just learned that Barbara passed on the same day as my mom, Barbara Kamerling, wife of Ed Kamerling, your mom's cousin. We haven't been in contact with you all in so many years, which is a shame! My dad tried to find Barbara a while ago but was unsuccessful. We knew that she had lived in the Madison area , because many years ago we ran into your dad in a diner near her home. He said he was in town to visit your sister. My mom's little heart just gave out after 93 years of living through many health problems but always battling back against great odds. Maybe the two Barbaras will be reacquainted in the hereafter. My mom's obituary will be in the Milwaukee Journal Sunday paper tomorrow. My dad has lived in the same home for over 65 years and I remember you visiting there decades ago.
