Obituary
MADISON-Gertrude M. Kuhn, age 91, of Madison, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 25, 2018, at Agrace HospiceCare. She was born on Nov. 10, 1926, the daughter of John and Louisa (Bucheit) Rosenbaum. Gertrude is survived by her four children, Gary (Nancy) Kuhn of Madison, Kathy (Jim) Shook of Madison, Carol Kuhn-Kohl of DeForest, and Ruth Kuhn of Madison; five grandchildren, Tom, John and Laura Shook, and Kyle and Krystal Kuhn and two great-grandchildren, Aubrey and Holly. She was preceded in death by her parents; and son, Alan Kuhn. Private burial services will be held at Roselawn Memorial Park. The family would like to thank the staff of St. Mary's Hospital and Agrace HospiceCare for their loving and compassionate care.

Gertrude was a wonderful Aunt! She sent me the most beautiful Christmas ornaments that she made by hand, she was so talented, hard working and wonderful. I will cherish the ornaments and her forever, she was a wonderful and giving person. I am so sorry for your loss, my thoughts and prayers are with you all.

I am so sorry for you all in Gerty's Family. I worked nights with Gerty at Madison General/ Meriter Hospital. Gerty was a very skilled and kind nurse. She was missed when she retired. I know that you will miss her deeply. She was a wonderful person. Blessing to you.

Trudy was a blessing to know. She volunteered thousands of hours for the non-profit organization RSVP, spending time at home making delightful stuffed "pillow" bears, and knitted and sewn items. These works of kindness were beautiful, and brightened the lives of thousands of children and adults who were in need. I enjoyed visiting her and the lovely talks we had. God rest you, Trudy.

Gerty was a nurse I worked with at Madison General/Meriter when I was first a nurse. I worked night shift with her on 8 Tower. She was a good nurse and a hard worker. She never complained! I am sorry to hear of your loss. Praying for comfort at this difficult time.
