Edward Krasna

MONONA - Edward J. “Eddie” Krasna, age 77, passed away on Friday, April 23, 2021, at the Wm. S. Middleton Veterans Hospital in Madison. He was born on Sept. 27, 1943, in Salt Lake City, Utah, the son of Norman and Ruth (Frazee) Krasna. Eddie grew up in Beverly Hills, Calif., where his parents made an imprint in Hollywood. Following high school, he proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1965 to 1970, serving in Germany. Eddie met the love of his life, Jane Wertman while living in California. The couple was united in marriage on Oct. 1, 1983, and began their life of adventures and laughter. An avid reader, Eddie could spend hours enjoying a good book, but give him a pot of coffee and the daily newspaper and he was in his glory. Eddie is survived by his beloved wife, Jane; sister, Jane Krasna-Bates; step-sister, Beth (Sacha) Krasna; step-brother, David Krasna; step-sister, Emily (Henrí) Turretini; brothers-in-law, Richard (Maria) Wertman and Thomas (Julie) Wertman; nieces and nephews, Marla (James) Crowe, Chris (Gina) Wertman, Tina and Alex Wertman; great-niece and great-nephew, Ava Jo and Derek Wertman; special feline companions, Truble and Annie and many relatives and friends.
