Obituary
MADISON - Larry Charles Knaack, age 60, of Madison, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, June. 13, 2026, at his home. He was born on June 15, 1965, in Madison, the son of Gordon and Doris (Barr) Knaack.
Larry attended Memorial High School in Madison. When growing up he enjoyed riding his tricycle, swimming, listening to music, going for walks and eating, especially cookies. Later in life, he participated in several work programs at Community Work Services, including packaging IV bags and collecting recycling at the state and county office buildings. He especially enjoyed meeting the people along his collection routes. He also was a bit of a prankster in his own way. He also cherished his two favorite things, a shoe used for practicing lacing and a stuffed pillow animal.
Larry is survived by his brother, Steven Victor (Angela Britton) Knaack; cousins, Diann Kiesel, Lucinda Kiesel, Rebecca (Mullins) Kiesel, Amy Kiesel, Mark Kiesel, Charles Jr. ‘Butch’ Anderson, James Anderson, Patricia Anderson, Barbra (Kay) Anderson and Kathleen (Withers) Anderson; and more relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A graveside service will be held at SUNSET MEMORY GARDENS, 7302 Mineral Point Road, Madison, at 12 noon on Friday, June 26, 2026. Visitation will be held at the cemetery from 11 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday.
