Mary Ann Koch

MADISON- Mary Ann Koch, of Madison, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 10, 2017. She was born on Jan. 24, 1927, to John and Frances (Theisen) Morschauser. Mary was united in marriage with Francis Koch on Oct. 25, 1958, at Sacred Heart Church in Sun Prairie. Mary dedicated her tenacious work ethic to the Telephone Company, working as a switchboard operator for 10 years. In 1955, she extended her switchboard operating talents to the Dean Clinic off the square, working there happily until her retirement. Mary's favorite past time was embroidery, with her innovative mind, and renowned patience, she was able to stitch several large tablecloths and quilts over the years, they were true works of art. Mary is survived by her children, Roger (Martina) Koch and Rosetta (Todd) Hockett; grandsons, Steve (Becky) Koch, Jeff Koch and Ryan Koch; and great-grandchildren, Alyssa and Bryan Koch. She is further survived by her sisters, Rose Skogman of Minnesota, Sylvia Mueller of Madison, and Clara (Herb) Feuling of Sun Prairie; her sister-in-law, Irene Morschauser of Deerfield, and many nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Francis in 2009; brothers, Art (Gertrude) Morschauser, John Morschauser, and Virgil (Cheryl) Morschauser, her nephew Joe Morschauser, and nieces, Kathleen Skogman and Jackie Morschauser. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at IMACCULATE HEART OF MARY, 5101 Schofield St., Madison, at 11 a.m., on Tuesday, May 16, 2017, with Fr. Chad Droessler presiding. Burial will be held at Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of mass on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Agrace HospiceCare.
