Madison - Deloris May Kiefer, age 100, of Madison, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2021, at St. Mary's Hospital. She was born on Nov. 11, 1921, in Belleville, Wis., the daughter of Matthew and Ruby (Bennett) Hoffmaster.
Deloris worked as a waitress for 45 years, retiring in 1986. She then worked as a foster grandmother for Central Wisconsin Center from 2005 to 2014.
Deloris is survived by her two daughters, Christie Stickels and Jacqueline (Steven) Bentz; son, Sedrick Kiefer; 14 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Donna (Leonard) Thompson and Deanna Tvedt.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Sedrick E. Kiefer; daughter, Judith (Chuck) Ward; son, James (Eleanor) Kiefer; three brothers, Wendell Hoffmaster, Wayne Hoffmaster and Ronald (Meredith) Hoffmaster; and her parents.

When gathering pictures for you photo album I had put together for your birthday celebration of 100 years of your life. I remember thinking of all the love you had for your family. One of my fondest memories is of course was your French toast,, and When you cooked you put everything thing in its own dishes, you made everything special. I remember you setting our hair. Then taking a few minutes to listen to each of us four kids, to see how our day was. And at your celebration you said your very best days were spent with your late husband and greatest love, Tom. And how you just couldn’t wait for the day you could be reunited with him… well I know he welcomed you with arms wide open, kisses galore, and feet well ready to dance with you again when you arrived peacefully in Heaven yesterday afternoon. I know you were tough as nails, and anxiously awaited your birthday party last week…. so you could secretly say your last goodbyes to all of your friends, family, and loved ones, and to leave with a bang… 100 years, wow!! I will cherish our time together forever, rest in peace my beautiful, Grandma D!

My condolences to Deloris’s family. I remember Deloris at Central Wisconsin Center. She was such a wonderful lady and the residents there were so lucky to have had her in their lives. She touched many lives. 🙏🙏🙏
