Obituary
MONONA - William T. Hughes, age 75, of Monona, passed away on Friday, May 14, 2021, after a motorcycle accident. He was born on June 23, 1945, in Madison, the son of William Hughes and Laura (Luther) Hughes. Bill graduated from Monona Grove High School in 1963 and was later united in marriage to Jacqueline (Brandenstein) Coons in 1985.
Bill worked as a union tile setter and was a proud member of the Harley Owner Group. He enjoyed deer hunting with friends, camping with his wife, ATVing up north and especially loved riding his Harley; he passed away doing what he loved.
Bill is survived by his wife, Jackie; two daughters, Connie Kubitz (Steve Bauer) and Michelle Huston; three grandchildren, Tyler (Rachel) Kubitz, Chase Kubitz and Calley Huston; his sister-in-law; his canine companion, Harley, the rescue dog; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Mary Hughes; and two sisters-in-law, Karen Elliott and Gloria Fowler.
Per Bill’s wishes, no services will be held.
