Lonnie D. George

BROOKLYN - Lonnie D. George, age 87, of Brooklyn, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 25, 2021, at Skaalen Nursing and Rehab. He was born on Sept. 18, 1934, in Janesville, Wis., the son of Kenneth and Hazel (Loftus) George. Lonnie graduated from Brooklyn High School in 1952. He married Norma Jean Sharp on Oct. 17, 1959, in Brooklyn. Lonnie worked for Uniroyal in Stoughton, retiring after 28 years. He loved following sports, like baseball and football, especially listening to the Chicago Cubs on the radio with his brother, Lynn. He also enjoyed fishing and listening to music. Lonnie is survived by his two sons, Kevin (Jackie) George and Mark George; three grandchildren, Natasha (Scott) Jensen, Ryan George and Cory George; a great-grandchild, Colton Jensen; sister-in-law, Sharon George; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Norma Jean; parents, Kenneth and Hazel; and brother, Lynn George.
