Obituary
MADISON- Audrey (Nabholz) Graack, age 100, of Madison, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 13, 2025. She was born on September 19, 1925, in Madison, the daughter of Rodney and Tilda (Nelson) Olson.
Audrey graduated from Madison East High School in 1942. She was united in marriage to Stephen Nabholz in 1944. He passed away in 1980. She was blessed to find love a second time and married Donald Graack in 1984. He passed away in 1996.
After World War II, Audrey worked at Oscar Mayer for several years, eventually leaving to raise her family. She returned to the workforce, accepting a position at was then Valley Bank, retiring in 1988.
Audrey enjoyed cooking and baking and the company of family and friends. She loved to gamble, taking many bus trips to casinos throughout the state, and occasional visits to Las Vegas and even gambled with her grandkids for pennies. Music was also an important part of family life. Her husband, Steve, played accordion and piano, and all three of her sons have played instruments throughout their lives.
Everything she did was with love and a smile. She had a positive outlook her entire 100 years on this earth, and will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Audrey is survived by her sons, Stephen J. Nabholz II, Michael H. Nabholz and Scott A. (Debbie) Nabholz; grandson, Nickolas (Angie) Nabholz; granddaughter, Kaitlyn (Jarred) Curtin; great-grandson, Emmett Scott Nabholz; step-daughters, Jeri (Jim) Krugman, Debbi (Steve) Hornbeck, Toni (Ed) Ledwidge and Teri (Terry) Frerker; nine step-grandchildren; sixteen step-great-grandchildren; and three step-great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rodney and Tillie; husbands, Stephen Nabholz and Donald Graack; and numerous relatives and friends.
The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staffs of Nazareth Health and Rehab Center, Stoughton and Brighton Hospice for the loving care they provided over the past several years.
Private services will be held, followed by interment at Roselawn Memorial Park, Monona.
