Eugenie R. Gilbert

MONROE- Eugenie Renee "Genie" Gilbert, age 64, of Monroe, passed away on Friday, Dec. 11, 2020. She was born on March 9, 1956, in Billings, Mont., the daughter of Eugene and Doris (Carlson) Wise. Genie graduated from Madison East High School in 1973. She worked as a Financial Specialist 3 for the State of Wisconsin, retiring in March of 2009. Genie attended the University of Phoenix and received an Associate Degree in Accounting in 2011. Genie enjoyed crocheting, being outdoors, camping and horseback riding. She loved animals, especially her canine and feline companions. She treasured her time spent with her family and grandchildren. Genie is survived by daughter, Christina Gilbert; grandson, Bradley Brausen; granddaughter, Chelsey Gilbert; sister, Anne (Tom) Ottum; and three brothers, Greg (Barb) Wise, Scott (Mary) Wise and Kerry (Irena) Wise.
