Charlotte Donahue

MADISON-Charlotte Ruth Donahue, age 98, of Monona, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 23, 2017, at Heritage Monona. She was born on July 18, 1919, in Dellona, the daughter of Adolph and Johanna (Wagner) Stein.  Charlotte graduated from Wisconsin Dells High School in 1937.  She moved to Madison in 1943 and married John "Jack" Donahue in 1946.  She was a devout member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church and the St. Ann's Society.  Charlotte worked for the Wisconsin Telephone Company for 37 years and was a member of the Telephone Company Service Organization, retiring in 1977.  She loved the Green Bay Packers and the St. Louis Cardinals and enjoyed attending spring training with her husband, Jack. Charlotte is survived by her nieces and nephew, Barbara Stein, Jeri Biester, Teri Glass, Brian Stein, Penny Stephens, Donna Weis and Jeanie Buller. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jack; and brothers, Clayton Stein and Nicholas Stein.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at IMMACULATE HEART OF MARY CATHOLIC CHURCH, 5101 Schofield Street, Monona, at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 2, 2017, with Father Chad Droessler presiding. Burial will be held at Roselawn Memorial Park at a later date. Visitation will be held at the church from noon until the time of the Mass on Saturday.  Memorials may be made to the Salvation Army.
