Alice L. Dyer

MONONA- Alice Louise Dyer, age 86, passed away peacefully, on Sunday, Feb. 19, 2017 at Agrace HospiceCare, with her loving family by her side. She was born on June 21, 1930 in Dayton Township, just outside of Richland Center, the daughter of Alfred and Katie (Perkins) Sharp. Alice graduated from Richland Center High School in 1948. She was a bookkeeper for 8 years at Carberry's Auto Dealership, in Richland Center. She married Lavone Dyer on Nov. 10, 1956. She later worked as a home care companion and served many years as a volunteer at Meriter Hospital. Alice's interests included, reading, gardening, traveling and camping. She also enjoyed watercolor painting, taking trips with family and friends, RV rally trips and camping at Pine Lake Campground. Alice is survived by daughter, Kathy (Chris) Korinek of Grafton; son-in-law, Jon (Julie) Dahl; four grandchildren, Sarah (Phill) Brodnick, Tim Korinek, Erik Dahl, and Hans Dahl; and great-grandsons, Fox and Oliver Brodnick. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 59 years, Lavone; her parents; daughter, Debra Dahl in 2003; brothers, Jim Sharp, Glen Sharp, Raymond Sharp; foster brother, Leonard Calloway; and nephews, Dean Dyer and James Sharp. Funeral services will be held at MONONA UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 606 Nichols Rd., Monona, at 11 a.m., on Friday, March 3, 2017. Burial will be held at Dayton Corners Cemetery, Richland Center. Visitation will be held at the church, from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Monona United Methodist Church, or Agrace HospiceCare.
