I will miss Mom every day and am grateful that I can see her in my children. In my daughter I see her bright and cheerful disposition, her kind nature, her positive energy, her joie de vivre and her love for all things silly. In my son I see her amazing gift for language, her passion for books, her love of world travel and her adventurous spirit.

Everything about Carol was amazing, her lovely gardens, her travels, her beautiful home, her dedication to many organizations , her sense of humor her creativity and her boundless energy for life ! I see so many of the above traits in her four children ! Through them and their children ,Carol's legacy will live on. I have great memories of Carol which I will cherish forever. You were truly loved .

Don and Carol have been among our closest friends for over fifty years. It has been a wonderful experience.
Carol’s sharp mind and broad range of interests have stimulated and enriched us in so many areas: gardening ,cooking, reading, music and drama to name a few.. We have shared everything from gourmet dinners to chancel dramas and been the better for it.
It is with great sadness that we hear of her passing. We like to think that on another plane she continues to be a treat to those around her.
Our sympathies go out to Don and to all the family. May the many great memories of her be a source of consolation to the family as well as to all her friends.

From high school on, I was always welcome in the Dietmeyer household, as the friend of daughter Liz. Mrs. Dietmeyer (as she was always, for she was my friend's mom, and later it continued out of the respect I had for her) introduced me & exposed me to different facets of the world - from pesto to The Chieftains, from crown roast to X-files, from Godiva chocolates to Masterpiece theater. She was a gardener and had an outdoor fish pond and sewed a replica of a dress of Anne of Cleves' from a picture! She was not like any one else I knew - and it was wonderful. I will miss her.
