Clearly Jean Dent has touched so many lives over the years, and I am one of them! One story that her family may not know, is she volunteered to do a program we called “Absolutely Antique” where she would give free evaluations of seniors antiques at the Madison Senior Center. We also worked on several plays (with director Carol Dietmeyer) over the years, I have gardened and worked in altar guild with Jean and I so admired both Jean and Bob. All of us at St. Luke’s who knew Jean feel we have lost a wonderful, wonderful woman who we dearly loved! I have so many memories of her and have been blessed to consider her a dear friend to me. I hope that memories will sustain her entire family...she was an amazing woman! Nancy Endres

We are so sorry to learn of the passing of Jean. We have been church friends with her for almost sixty years. She and Bob were two of the first persons we met at St. Lukes. She will be missed, as we have missed Bob. Our thoughts and prayers are with their children and families. Ed and Jean Temby

I am so sorry for your loss. I fondly remember the Dent family and Jean back in the 60’s when the family all lived on Birch Haven Circle. Jean was such a loving and caring mother who always greeted me with such kindness. You will be missed. Today’s world needs more people like you. Sincerely, Tom Peck

Sorry for your loss. Jean was one in a million. We were good friends when we lived in Monona and attended St Luke's. We sang in the choir together and Jean and I worked on many church projects. It has been several years since we last heard from Jean and Bob and did not know of Bob's death. A great loss. We also fondly remember all of you children especially Katy (baby sat)and Margie (Girl Scouts). We will keep all of you in our thoughts and prayers. Fondly the Whipples

I am a cousin of Bob Dent. I only met Jean a few times, but I am sorry to hear of her passing. I live in Cedarburg if anyone wishes to contact me. I would love to hear more from the Dent family. I met Bob and Bill when we lived near them in Chicago, but then my parents divorced and we lost touch. Gail Chelius
