Audry Crabtree

MADISON - Audry Jeanine Crabtree, age 85, of Madison, passed away on Tuesday, April 26, 2022, at Chamomile Assisted Living. She was born on Jan. 17, 1937, in Lone Rock, the daughter of Clarence and Nora (Kirkpatrick) Knudson.

Audry graduated from Waunakee High School in 1955. She worked as a waitress at various local restaurants and also at the snack bar at UW Hospital. She enjoyed playing bingo, doing craft projects, putting puzzles together and visiting and helping her neighbors in her assisted living facility. Audry will be remembered for her sense of humor.

Audry is survived by her four daughters, Cindy Bohrman, Cathy (David) Lockman, Lori (Adam) Banuelos and DeeAnn (Frank) Schenk; two sons, Rick (Lynn) Braun and Randy (Amy) Braun; 24 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; brother, Edward (Diane) King; and sister, Darlene Knudson.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Lowell Braun; second husband, Herbert Crabtree; parents, Clarence (Hazel) Knudson and Nora (Harold) Gunderson; and son-in-law, Terry Bohrman.

A funeral service will be held at Gunderson West Funeral and Cremation Care, 7435 University Ave., Middleton, at 12 noon on Monday, May 2, 2022. Burial will be held at Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Monday.
