SUN PRAIRIE - Thomas Wayne Christofferson, age 62, of Sun Prairie, passed away on Friday, May 6, 2022, at Oak Ridge Living. He was born on Jan. 11, 1960, in Madison, Wis., the son of Wayne Christofferson and Marion (Follansbee) Hanmer.
Thomas graduated from LaFollette High School and worked as a laborer for Kipp Foundry for 18+ years. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing, hiking, and camping. He was an avid fan of Star Wars and enjoyed spending time with family. His sense of humor will be missed by all that knew him.
Thomas is survived by his twin brother, Tim (Susan Andrea) Christofferson; brothers, David Christofferson, Bill Christofferson, Ronald Christofferson, and Bob (Linda) Christofferson; and sister, Barbara Christofferson; along with MANY nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Susan Harrington; father, Wayne Christofferson; mother, Marion Hanmer; brother Brian Ricker, brother Ronald Follansbee and stepmother, Agnes Christofferson.
A funeral service will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 11, 2022. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until the time of the service on Wednesday. A military graveside service will be held at NORTHWOODS NATIONAL CEMETERY, 4520 Lakewood Road, Harshaw, Wis., at 2 p.m. on Thursday, May 12, 2022.
