Betty Burrington

MADISON-Betty A. Burrington, age 86, of Madison, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 7, 2017, at So Close to Home in Marshall. She was born on Nov. 5, 1930, in Spooner, the daughter of Fred and Louise (Stephan) Johnson.  She married Robert Burrington July 19, 1958, in Sun Prairie.  Betty worked at Red Dot for ten years and later as a bookkeeper for Dorn Hardware for 25 years, retiring in 1990.  She liked to play bingo and gamble at the casino. Betty is survived by her son, Robert (Vickie) Peterson; two grandsons, Kevin (Sarah) Peterson and Tom (Michael) Peterson; granddaughter, Kierney; brother, Alfred R. Johnson; sister, Lorraine Peckham; and nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert; brother, Fred R. (Charlene) Johnson; and infant brother, Herbert.  A Celebration of Betty's Life will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison, from 12 noon until 2 p.m., on Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2017.  Burial will be held at Highland Memory Gardens in Sun Prairie.
