Betty Jean Casanova

MADISON-Betty J. Casanova, age 92, of Madison, passed away on Monday, Oct. 24, 2016, at St. Mary's Hospital. She was born on Jan. 21, 1924, in Madison. She married Harold Allred in 1942 and Rudolfo Casanova in 1968, in Madison. Betty was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was very crafty and enjoyed crocheting, sewing, and winning at bingo. Betty especially loved spending time with her family enjoying pictures of past times and going on trips and picnics. Betty is survived by her children, Thomas (Ruth) Allred, William (Maureen) Allred, Karen (Dale) Fry, Kristie (Robert) Thomas, Jeffrey Allred, Kevin Allred and Kimberly (Rolland) Kuhlow; 20 grandchidlren; 37 great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Marcia Allred; brother, Norman Strand; sisters, Leila Schmudlach and Shirley Fast; and many other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her two husbands, Harold and Rudolfo; son, Terrance Allred; brothers, William (Elaine) Strand and Gordon Strand; sister-in-law, Sue Strand; and brother-in-law, Harold Schmudlach. A funeral service will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison, at 1 p.m., on Saturday, Nov. 5, 2016.
