Wilma Doris Bolssen

MONONA-Wilma Doris Bolssen, age 95, of Monona, passed away on Saturday, Dec. 31, 2016 at Heritage Assisted Living in Monona. She was born on Feb. 8, 1921, in Huntington, Ind., the daughter of Walter and Geneva (Shanks) Robb. Wilma was united in marriage to Walter Bolssen in New Orleans, La, where they were both serving their country in the U.S. Navy during World War II. They were married for 72 years. After retiring from the Wisconsin Department of Administration, she and Walter traveled the world. Wilma is survived by her children, Linda Tank, Dianne Morrissey and Steven (Margo Kleinfeld) Bolssen; four grandchildren, Patrick (Pamela) Morrissey, Shannon (Christopher) Wood, Amy (Sean) O'Brien, and Christopher (Jennifer) Tank; nine great-grandchildren, Rachel, Connor, Killian, Rece, Kathryn, Abigail, Samuel, Clara and Camden; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter; daughter, Suzanne Bolssen; and sister, Annabel (Mel) Ring. A private service will be held for the family.
