To Ann and the entire Butler family, My sincere sympathies to all of you for your loss. I recall very fondly our growing up years Ann, and the times I spent around your Mom, Dad and entire family. Sledding down the hill where we had the jump between two very large pine trees and ended up in your backyard. Going out in your boat to ski (and look at the boys) on Lake Monona. I hope all of your wonderful memories will ease your pain and help your hearts find peace. Nancy G. Barden Slinde

I am so sorry for your family’s loss. I have so many wonderful childhood memories that include your family; the tiny white house across the street where your mom and dad lived as newlyweds with their young family , eating a vanilla ice cream cone that your mom gave me when I was 3 or 4 and realizing it actually had a flavor, the magic of an ice boat ride on lake Monona, your mom taking me to be on Romper Room once when my sister couldn’t go, being rescued and carried home by your mom when I sprained my ankle, teaching me to float/swim when she realized that swimming lessons hadn’t taught me to stay above water, many weekend visits to Monona after you moved to the “big” house, and especially her husky voice and laugh. You mom was a treasure!

So Sorry to hear the news of your mother's passing. Our families had a lot of fond memories growing up together. I can still remember the very boisterous card games our parents would play at the dining room table. Your mom and dad were truly wonderful people. My prayers are with all of you.
