Mr. Brockman was always “One of a kind”. My sister Theresa and I had the pleasure of knowing the Brockman family since we were 12 years old, became best friends with their youngest Janet. There door on Vondron Rd. was always open literally and figuratively! My sister and I we’re always blown away that they left the door unlocked for the kids to come and go as they pleased. It stuck us as odd back then, however; once we came to know the family, it was one of the most endearing qualities of Mr. and Mrs. Brockman, to give that “freedom” to there children. Mr. Brockman treated us with kindness and respect all the years we knew him. Always quick with a joke or a funny sarcastic comment.. anyone who left his presence usually did so with a smile on there face and feeling better. He had the gift to uplift! Even the last time we saw Mr.Brockman in the hospital a few days before his departure. As sick as he was, he made us feel welcomed and he was so happy to see us. He even cracked us up, as we left saying “So long, you World travels!” in his cute funny way.. as we said our goodbyes, putting smiles on our faces.. lifting us up as he had the gift to do. Hail and Farewell Mr. Brockman, until we meet again kind Sir. Love, Camille and Theresa Castellanos

The Brockman family has been a constant in my life for over 35 years. When I look back to memories of my youth, it almost always has a memory of being at the Brockman home. My sister and I where welcomed in there home as if we were part of their family, Mr. and Mrs. Brockman always included us in family gatherings and camping trips you name it the twins where there. Janet, the youngest, who we always affectionately called "Brockman" has been our best friend since seventh grade. Mr. Brockman was always kind and witty, I looked up to him as one of the best fathers a child could have. I'm a better person for knowing him. May God bless you Mr. Brockman, you where truly one of the greatest men I had the pleasure to know. ♥️ Theresa and Camille Castellanos
