William O. Branch

SUN PRAIRIE-William O. Branch, age 95, of Sun Prairie, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2017, at Sun Prairie Health Center. He was born on Sept. 28, 1922, in Tucson, Ariz, the son of Orson and Myrtle (Tischer) Branch. William married Mary Ann Louise Ebeling on July 2, 1945. They settled in Madison after he was discharged from the U.S. Army. William worked as a tool and dye maker for GE Medical, retiring in the spring of 1986.  William went to technical school to learn how to design and build his home in Monona.  He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and reading.  William is survived by sons, Robert “Ernie” (Jill) Branch, David Branch (Bruce Abrahamson); daughter, Judy (Jim) Raad; grandson, Andy (Krista) Branch; granddaughter, Calli (Todd) Everard; and great-grandchildren, Adde and Drew Branch and Westin and Eli Everard.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann Louise Branch; his parents; and siblings.  Private family services will be held.
