MADISON-Kenneth John Beck, age 71 of Madison, passed away on Friday, Oct. 28, 2016, at Agrace HospiceCare in Fitchburg. He was born on Sept. 1, 1945, in Dodgeville, the son of Ted and Helen (Gorder) Beck. Ken was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving from 1964 – 1966. He was a long-time employee of Verizon. Ken is survived by his brother, Donald Beck; caregiver and special friend, Rosanne Delfosse; and furry friend, Daisy. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister-in-law, Barbara E. Beck; and Cleo, his Siamese kitty. Honoring Ken's wishes, no formal visitation or funeral service will be held. Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com.

I am so sorry no one contacted me when Ken entered hospice. Ken was a childhood friend to my husband and a friend to me at my husband's passing. He consoled me over the phone, made donations in memory of my husband and sent me notes. He was a gentle giant and I will miss hearing his voice. Thanks to Roseanne who took such loving care of him. Ken is also survived by his two sons with the late Katherine Marie Giddley, Scott J. Beck and Robert J. Beck. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Cassandra, Sincerrae, Nicole, Mariah, Brianna, Cheyenne, Autumn, Lainey and Sage.
