Margaret A. Baier

MADISON-Margaret A. Baier, age 81, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2016, at Heritage Memory Care, Middleton. She was born on June 29, 1935, in Dodgeville, the daughter of Thaddeus and Viola (Urfer) Conway. Margaret married Carl Baier on June 30, 1954, at St. Malachy's Church in Clyde. Carl and Margaret moved to Tampa, Florida shortly after they were married and built the home of their dreams. They enjoyed many travels in the States, Europe, Latin America and Australia. Carl and Margaret resided in Florida for over 57 years and enjoyed their annual visits to Wisconsin to spend time with family and friends. Margaret assumed the role of caregiver to her beloved husband for many years before moving back to Wisconsin after Carl's death in 2011. Margaret is survived by her brother, Pat (Betty) Conway of Dubuque, Iowa; sister, Catherine (Ronald) Marjama of Brookfield; sister-in-law, Joy Conway of Spring Green; 15 nieces and nephews; and many great nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Carl; brother, Hugh Conway; two sisters-in-law, Lorene (William) Ballweg and Janette (Leo) Parr. Funeral services will be held at ROSELAWN MEMORIAL PARK CHAPEL, 401 Femrite Dr., Monona, at 11 a.m., on Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2017. Visitation will be at Roselawn from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the service on Wednesday.
