Nona Pearl Ary

COTTAGE GROVE-Nona Ary passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2018.  She was born on June 3, 1933, near Linden, Wis., the daughter of Jasper and Martha Rule.  She attended Sunny Slope School, a one-room schoolhouse for all eight years.  She graduated from Cobb High School in 1950.  Nona worked at Farmers Mutual Insurance for several years, later the name was changed to American Family Insurance.  She enjoyed listening to country music, watching Badger football and basketball, and was a fan of the Packers and NASCAR.  She also loved to watch bull riding on TV.  Nona is survived by her children, Randy (Christine) of Madison, Kathleen of Barneveld; David (Kim) of Deerfield and Michael (Patricia) of Chippewa Falls; grandchildren, Chad, Joshua, Jake, Justin and Ashley; great-grandson, Sam; great-granddaughter, Kaelynn; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Coy; son, Richard; two brothers, Leonard and Ellsworth; and her sister, Donna.  Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison, at 11 a.m., on Monday, March 5, 2018.  Burial will be held at Highland Memory Gardens.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until the time of the service on Monday.  Online condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com  Gunderson East Funeral & Cremation Care 5203 Monona Dr. (608) 221-5420
