Obituary
MIDDLETON - This lovely lady passed peacefully to Eternal Life on Monday, Sept. 16, 2024, at the age of 95. She is reunited with her beloved husband, Ralph Zeman, of 39 years who passed in 2009. She was also preceded in death by her parents, George and Edith Lundeen; and brother, Robert Lundeen.
Dorothy was the loving mother of Susan Raabe, Christine (Richard “Rick”) Heuer, Bruce (Michelle) Raabe; stepmother of Richard “Rich” (Cheryl) Zeman; proud grandmother of Jennifer Lyans, Benjamin (Doni) Lyans, Kenneth (Ellen) Raabe, Kathryn (Kurt) Sommer, Timothy (Kaitie) Heuer, Patrick Zeman and Janelle Zeman; and great-grandmother to so many beautiful great-grandchildren we lose count! She is further survived by family and friends including Diane Raabe.
Dorothy loved being around family and friends and especially traveling Wisconsin and across the United States with her railroad buff husband, Ralph. She and Ralph loved fishing on Lake Denoon where they lived for many years but fished wherever they could cast a line. She loved music, played the clarinet with passion for her Washington High School band and with the Wauwatosa traveling community band during the summer and following graduation. Playing in Chicago was a thrill of a lifetime. Her drink of choice: Brandy Old Fashioned of course. Mom, our shopping and lunch super buddy, will be greatly missed!
Our family would like to thank the staff at St. Mary’s Care Center, Madison, as well as the staff at the Holiday-The Jefferson, Middleton, for treating Mom like family.
There will be a private entombment service at Wisconsin Memorial Park, where she will join her World War II naval veteran husband, Ralph.
