Obituary
CROSS PLAINS - Ruthann Helen (Aumann) Weber, age 82, of Cross Plains, Wis., passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, May 16, 2024, at UW Hospitals. She was the daughter of Herman and Ruth (Bayer) Aumann.
Ruthann graduated from Jefferson High school and married Paul Weber on Aug. 12, 1972. She worked at Graber - Springs Window Fashions in Middleton for over 30 years.
Ruthann enjoyed traveling all over the world with the love of her life, Paul. They both enjoyed animals, especially dogs of which they had several throughout their almost 50 years together. Ruthann enjoyed gardening, reading, collecting Boyd’s Bears, and also had an enormous chicken and rooster collection. In her spare time, she liked to read, watch TV, and do word finds. If you mentioned shopping, lunch or sweets she sprung to her feet and was ready to go.
Ruthann cherished time with family and friends and loved to celebrate the special times in her life and the lives of others. She had spunk and wasn’t afraid to give you her opinion. She will leave us with precious memories.
Ruthann is survived by her nieces, Barb (Jim) Jarvis and their children and grandchildren, Karen Hansen and Jeanne Armstrong; nephew, Matthew (Kaley) Weber and their son; brothers-in-law, Ed (Kathy) Weber, Joe Weber and John (Janice) Weber; sister-in-law, Sue Weber; very special friends, Donna Weber, Pete Diny and Paul Pierstorff; and many other family and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Paul; her parents, Herman and Ruth; and her sister, Rosemary.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 2947 Thinnes St., Cross Plains, at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 22, 2024. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of the Mass on Wednesday, with a Rosary at 10:30 a.m. Burial in the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Cemetery and a luncheon at the church will follow the Mass.
