Paul Weber

CROSS PLAINS - Paul Clarence Weber, age 78, of Cross Plains, passed away peacefully at Heartland Country Village in Black Earth, Wis., and entered into his heavenly home on Tuesday, June 7, 2022. He was born in Madison, Wis., on May 14, 1944, to Leonard and Regina (Esser) Weber.

Paul graduated from Queen of Apostles Seminary and enlisted in the U.S. Army National Guard. He worked at Whitewater College as a baker. He then joined the family-owned Weber’s Bakery in Cross Plains until they closed. In August 1972, he married Ruthann Auman. He then worked as a baker for Cub Foods and Middleton Farmers Co-op until he retired.

Paul is survived by his wife of almost 50 years, Ruthann. They were looking forward to celebrating their 50th Anniversary in August. He is also survived by his brothers, Ed (Kathy), Harold (Sue), Joe and John (Janice); sister-in-law, Donna Weber; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jerome; and sisters, Mary Ann Volence and Betty Armstrong.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. FRANCIS XAVIER CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2947 Thinnes St., Cross Plains, at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 13, 2022. Family and friends who wish to view the Mass via LIVE STREAM may visit Paul’s obituary page at www.gundersonfh.com and click on the Live Webcast link at 11 a.m. on Monday. Burial will follow the service with lunch afterwards in the fellowship hall. Visitation will be held at the church from 9 a.m. until the start of the Mass on Monday, with a Knights of Columbus Rosary said starting at 10:30 a.m.
