Diane Marie Wasserman

Middleton-Diane Marie Wasserman, age 75, of Middleton, passed away on Friday, October 20, 2017, at The Villa at Middleton Village. She was born on August 13, 1942, in Shawano, WI, the daughter of Wallace and June (Freiberger) Wasserman. Diane and graduated from Shawano High School and earned her bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the UW-Madison.  Diane’s professional career was with the Verona School District as an elementary school librarian. She was a lifelong member of the Christian Science Church.  Diane enjoyed the outdoors, especially the UW Arboretum and Devil’s Lake. She learned to play the piano when she was growing up, and continued her love of music for the rest of her life.  She looked forward to going to symphony concerts at the Overture Center and on the University of Wisconsin campus. Diane is survived by her brother, Wayne (Martha Girard) Wasserman; uncle and aunt, Ken and Claire Wasserman; and nephews and nieces, Robert, Charly and Audrey Renk. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her sister, Wanda Wasserman. Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON WEST FUNERAL AND CREMATION CARE, 7435 University Ave., Middleton, at 10:30am on Saturday, Oct. 28, 2017, with Marian Sorensen presiding. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens.
