Obituary
MIDDLETON- Jack R. Rick passed peacefully February 20, 2018. Jack started out as a GE repairman right out of high school and worked his way up in the company to Service Center Manager for many years to follow. In his spare time he was literally a “Jack” of all Trades. There was nothing he couldn’t build or repair. Jack also had a great love for music which he passed on to his children and subsequently, his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all. Jack was preceded in death by his wife Carolyn (Bauman), and his son Justin. He is survived by his brother, Richard “Babe” Rick (Nancy), four daughters, Sharon (Tom), Sandy (Joe), Mary (Mark) and Lyn (Tony), ten grandchildren, Ryan (Courtney), Dylan, Joe (Jamie), Deanna (Casey), Jason (Megan), Jodi (Dave), Jennine (Andy), Austin, Jenna, and Logan, and his five great-grandchildren, Rebekah, Aaron, Griffin, Brayden, and Payton. There will be a brief memorial service on March 10, 2018 at Meyer’s Restaurant, 4260 S. 76th St., Greenfield, WI 53220. The memorial service will begin at 11:00 AM and will be immediately followed by a luncheon. In lieu of flowers, donations to Agrace Hospice, 5395 E. Cheryl Pkwy, Fitchburg, WI 53711. Jack was a great man and a great uncle to me. He always had a way of bringing warmth and a gentle smile to everyone he met. He was always compassionate towards his family and showed concern for their health and well being. He had a personality that you would never forget, and I have a lot of great memories of my uncle Jack. He was just a great guy and he'll always be with me when I recall the good times we shared. I'll miss you uncle Jack! You were one genuine human being that brought a smile to everyone you met!!

Dad, thanks for your love and support! Thank you for being such a positive influence in my life and believing in me. Thank you for sharing all of your talents...woodworking, gardening, decorating, painting, staining, home improvements, designing, appreciating nature - especially the sky and sunsets...it was fun arguing over whether or not they were prettier in Minnesota or Wisconsin - of course it is Wisconsin. I loved going to the botanical gardens, playing cards, working in the yard and spending time together with family and friends.

Jack and his family were our neighbors in the late 1950 on N. 57th Street in Brown Deer, WI. We were all young and looking forward to a good and long life. The next time I met Jack was in summer 2017 through his daughter Sandy Lebar in Algonquin, IL. We had a good time catching up on all the years in between. Jack and I came to this earth in 1930.
My deepest sympathy to his family for their loss. He will be missed very much.
